herbed goat cheese
Ours spreads are excellent on crackers, bread, fruit, & vegetables, but there are many other ways you can get creative with them. Here are some of our favorite ways you can use our Herbed Goat Cheese:
Herbed Goat Cheese instead of mayonnaise on sandwiches is great. It can also be your sandwich cheese, although we love a sandwich with Herbed Goat Cheese and a slice of Muenster or Havarti. Try making a grilled cheese with Havarti
and a liberal schemer of Herbed Goat Cheese.
Mix some Herbed Goat Cheese and a drizzle of pasta water into hot pasta, then top with
grilled or roasted vegetables.
Grilled Steak Sandwich: We love a grilled flat iron steak (sliced thin
for this sandwich) on a baguette with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Herbed Goat Cheese. You can also turn this into a salad, eliminating the baguette and topping the vegetables with sliced steak and drizzling the Herbed Goat Cheese over the top as your dressing.
A hamburger or grilled chicken sandwich tastes great with Herbed Goat Cheese
in leiu of mayonaise & mustard
Use Herbed Goat Cheese like a compound butter over your favorite grilled fish. Family fish favorites are crab cakes, swordfish, scallops, & salmon. Use like a compound butter, put a dollop on your choice of seafood.
Toasted baguette slices with Herbed Goat Cheese and crumbled bacon bits. You can also add or use a sliver of jalapeno instead of bacon crumbles. This can also be done on endive in lieu of baguettes. Here is an example from our blog, https://picnicgourmetspreads.wordpress.com/
Cubed pear & thinly sliced red onion tossed with a few tablespoons of Herbed Goat Cheese and a splash of olive oil makes a lovely side dish.
